How to send it
Give your permissions in Google Forms, then follow its confirmation link to upload privately to Dropbox. Use the same email in both steps. One video per permission form. Wait for Dropbox to confirm the upload.
Your video arrives privately. Yann matches it to your recorded choices. If you consent to AI processing, Claude, OpenAI and VEED may help review and edit your recording. A suitable school-life testimonial may be released on YouTube after checks under your separate publication choice. An unmatched upload stays private. Uncertain uploads stay private too, and publication is not guaranteed.
What to say
Try: “We chose Kew Riverside Primary School because…” or “As a parent, what I value most is…” Speak naturally, in your own words.
Keep the recording simple
Record 30 seconds–3 minutes. Portrait or landscape is fine. Film only yourself, with no children or other identifiable people in the picture. Leave out children’s names, health or SEND details, private records and allegations about identifiable people. Check the background for private details. Use your own recording and material you have permission to share.
Privacy and sharing
Enter the same email address in the permission form and Dropbox. The filename question is optional if your phone does not show it. Your email, filename and the name entered at upload stay private. The form has a separate, optional public credit: a first name or nickname is fine, or leave it blank. Your face and voice can still identify you.
New submissions require YouTube publication permission. This allows possible publication on Parent Voices on YouTube. Videos can share parent experiences, raise awareness and help prospective families learn about the school. You let Yann trim pauses, add accurate captions, clean audio and fit the picture without changing your meaning. Changes to your meaning need your agreement. The current form separately asks for AI processing and allows a suitable school-life testimonial to be released automatically after checks. For a longer testimonial, a meaningful shorter excerpt may also be published if you choose the new YouTube permission. A closure-focused video letter or website embed still needs separate, dated agreement for the exact recording. Earlier saved permissions keep their original scope.
News-media permission is optional and unchecked. If you select it, Yann may supply your video and chosen public credit to news organisations reporting on Kew Riverside Primary School’s future. They may use the recording and excerpts in broadcast and online coverage, with accurate captions and edits that keep your meaning. Your email and other private contact details are not shared. News organisations control their own publications and may need their own release or privacy arrangements.
Paid-ads permission is optional and unchecked. If you select it, Yann may use your video, or captioned excerpts that keep your meaning, with your chosen credit, in paid ads on YouTube, Facebook and Instagram. The ads invite families to learn about or visit Kew Riverside Primary School and encourage people to take part in decisions about its future; they are not fundraising appeals. He shows you the exact excerpt and ad wording before an ad first runs, and uses it only if you agree.
Ads reach local people who did not choose to watch and show which account placed them; some platforms also show who paid. They may attract public comments, which Yann moderates. Platforms may keep ads in public ad libraries after they end. Yann runs and pays for them personally; he is a PTA member, but the ads are not run for the school or PTA. Ads stop by 30 September 2028 at the latest. Earlier saved permissions do not include paid ads; to add it for an earlier video, contact Yann privately. Read the paid-ads details.
You can withdraw permission, change your credit or ask for removal. You can withdraw YouTube, news-media or paid-ads permission separately. Yann can remove every YouTube version and excerpt he controls, stop further media sharing, pause or stop ads using your video (normally within two working days) and contact known recipients about your request. He cannot guarantee recall of broadcasts, ad-library records or copies made by others. Read the full notice.
Upload problems or an older link?
No account is needed for the two-step route above. The permission confirmation is not an upload receipt: follow its Dropbox link, choose your video and wait for Dropbox to confirm the upload. Use the same email in both steps. Aim for under 100 MB where possible; try a smaller file or a reliable connection if the upload fails.
The original Google video form is still open if you already have that link or prefer it. It requires Google sign-in and accepts one video up to 1 GB, with one response per account. New responses ask separately for required AI processing and YouTube publication, with optional news-media and paid-ads choices. Earlier recorded choices remain valid. A complete submission there already includes its own permissions; you do not need to submit it again through Dropbox.
If either service is full or unavailable, or you want to replace a video, contact Yann privately to arrange an alternative. Please do not put a private video link in the public ideas board.
You can also write a community letter without an account.
Already started? Continue your upload.Use the same email in both steps. Your saved permissions still apply, including any earlier private-only choice, even if you upload later.
